1. The PIEK International Education Centre (I.E.C.) B.V., hereinafter "PIEK", makes every effort to ensure the privacy and non-disclosure of personal data provided by visitors. We go by the principle that visitors have the free choice of providing such information. The disclosure of data allows PIEK to provide the desired information and service and, at the same time, to protect personal data. By personal data we mean information that can be connected to an individual or legal person, e.g. name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, personal preferences and information on their activities when these persons are online.
2. Many of our visitors decide to be registered and herewith disclosing personal data to PIEK. In doing so they gain the advantage of a series of useful services.
3. Not everyone wants to disclose personal information by the mere fact that he/she visits our website. On PIEK’s website every visitor is then also asked whether or not he/she wants to receive the PIEK Highlights Edition. Once made, this decision is revocable at any time. In the unlikely event of PIEK being given a court order for publication or for legal reasons being forced to disclose personal data on their visitors, we are legally obliged to do so, even if this is against the privacy policy of PIEK.

Our website will send you a "cookie" – a file with a summary of your personal data - to your PC so that you can be directly recognised when you visit our website again and therefore need not enter your registration information a second time. If you do not wish to be recognised, please adjust your internet browser so that cookies can be deleted from the hard disk of your PC, or averted, or you receive a warning before a cookie is saved.
5. Personal data is collected on our website. This data is used by our website to comply with the personal requirements and interests of our visitors. This is the most important purpose for using your personal data. Our website occasionally offers links to other websites. You should read carefully the privacy protective measures regarding personal data taken by these websites, since these can deviate from those of PIEK.
6. PIEK makes every effort to protect your personal data with secure servers. This applies for the simple name registration as well as coded financial data in electronic business transactions (E-commerce). PIEK pursues the policy that all communication with the service staff of PIEK (i.e. helpdesks, product information enquiries etc.) is dealt with in strict confidence. The content of such communication shall only be circulated within the PIEK organisation in order to comply with requests. PIEK has been a familiar and trusted name for over 35 years now. The relation between PIEK and its customers or visitors to the website is therefore very much in our interest. We want to get to know you better so that we can offer you better service. However, we leave the decision of taking advantage of such services completely up to you. If you have reason to believe that PIEK has not adhered to the above mentioned principles, please let us know immediately. We will then make every effort to analyse and solve the problem.
